Fit an (excess) hazard regression model using different shapes for the baseline hazard (Weibull, piecewise constant and B-splines), with the possibility to include time-dependent and/or non-linear effect(s) of variable(s) and a random effect defined at the cluster level.

The new mexhaz R package 1.1 is now available in the CRAN website (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/mexhaz/index.html).
strel v1.2.7 is a computer program, written in Stata®, that can be used to carry out relative survival analyses. The program first estimates the net mortality rates for subjects, in each of a set of predefined intervals following the initial event, for example diagnosis of cancer, using the maximum likelihood method (Estève et al., 1990). The relative survival is defined as the observed survival in the study group divided by the expected survival of a comparable group from the general population. Cumulative crude and relative survival rates are then calculated and tabulated for exact times after the initialising event.
To enable you to run strel you will need to download the following file and unzip it on your computer. To run strel once you have downloaded it just follow the instructions in the strel help file within the .zip file below.
The sub-national life tables available from the archived pages have been smoothed by applying Ewbank’s 4-parameter model life table system to the observed mortality rates, and using the English Life Table 1991 as the reliable standard. A Stata® command to perform this procedure “ewblft” has been developed by the Cancer Research UK Cancer Survival Group.
